Moon has been a physical therapist for 21 years and specializes in women’s health and orthopedics. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Pilates instructor and Health Coach. She believes in a highly individualized approach to patient care and that movement is medicine. Central to her treatment philosophy is patient education on diagnosis and dysfunction as well as guidance on discovering motivations and barriers to change so that positive health habits can be established. She utilizes manual therapy and therapeutic exercise to decrease pain and restore functional movement patterns so that patients can meet their goals and return to full function.
Moon graduated with honors from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Counseling was in her future until a knee injury and surgery opened her eyes to the world of physical therapy.
She graduated in 2003 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California and focused on treating orthopedic patients.
The birth of her 2 children and the realization that most women are not receiving adequate pelvic health care inspired her to add women’s health issues and pelvic floor physical therapy to her practice. She is passionate about helping women navigate changes and dysfunction that occur throughout the female lifespan to include pregnancy, the postnatal period and the menopause transition.
Moon loves ocean swimming, scuba diving and surfing as well as beach days and travel adventures with her husband and 2 kids.
